Persona Dolls
All our Persona Dolls are culturally authentic, non-sexist and appropriately dressed 70cm cloth dolls. We identify their ethnicity and gender to make ordering easier but when you create personas the ethnicity and gender you give your Dolls may be different. Please note a plumper version of the Dolls is available @ £65.00 plus vat and p&p.

It is written by Babette Brown in a user-friendly style and filled with rich material based upon research and observation. It reminds the reader how early our children's attitudes are formed and how persona dolls are used to encourage positive attitudes and behaviour. Readers are offered practical advice about selecting dolls and creating their personas as well as suggestions for developing and telling their stories. A list of useful addresses and resources is also included. |  |
Unlearning Discrimination in the Early Years Published by Trentham Books and written by Babette Brown for everyone who is concerned about equity and justice for all children. It is laid out and written in a clear and accessible style and is succinct and incisive, whether talking about theory or practice. It is perhaps unusual to find poetry in this type of book but the poems help to substantiate the arguments. The exercises are designed to build on practitioners' present knowledge, skills and understanding and encourage them to evaluate and reflect on their own anti-discriminatory practice. There are indispensible resource lists at the back of the book. |  |
